Managing your product catalogue effectively helps keep your Elexbig storefront fresh and organized. Whether you need to update pricing, create similar listings, or temporarily remove items, these tools give you full control over your inventory.

Editing Product Listings

You can edit any listing at any time to update product details, prices, images, or stock levels.

Steps to Edit a Listing
  1. Log in to your Vendor Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Products
  3. Locate the product you want to update and click Edit
  4. Make your changes (title, description, images, price, stock quantity)
  5. Click Update to save your changes

Important: Avoid changing product titles and SKUs for active items with existing orders, as this may cause confusion in reporting and order reconciliation.
Pro tip: Regularly review your listings to update seasonal products, refresh imagery, or remove discontinued ranges. This keeps your storefront current and appealing to customers.
Duplicating Product Listings

Duplicating is especially useful when you're adding multiple products that share similar details but differ in attributes like colour, size, or style variations.

How to Duplicate a Listing
  1. In your Vendor Dashboard, go to Products
  2. Hover over the product you want to copy
  3. Click Duplicate
  4. A new draft listing will appear with identical details to the original
  5. Edit key fields such as SKU, product attributes, images, or descriptions to differentiate the new product
  6. Click Publish when you're ready to make it live

Good to know: Duplicated products remain in draft mode until you publish them, giving you complete control to make changes before they appear on your storefront.
Archiving Product Listings

Archiving allows you to hide products from your storefront without permanently deleting them. This is ideal for items that are temporarily out of stock, discontinued, or seasonal.

How to Archive a Listing
  1. From Products, find the listing you want to archive
  2. Select Bulk Action from the menu
  3. Change the status from to Draft
  4. The product will no longer appear on your storefront but remains in your product catalogue

    Restoring an Archived Product

You can restore an archived listing at any time by changing its status back to Online. This is particularly useful for seasonal stock or products that come back into inventory.

Important: Archiving does not cancel existing orders. You must still fulfil any outstanding orders linked to that product.

Data preservation: Archiving keeps all product history intact, including sales data, customer reviews, and performance reports.
    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit a product after customers have ordered it?

Yes, but we recommend only editing fields like stock quantity or product descriptions. Avoid changing the SKU, product title, or pricing once orders have been placed, as this can affect order processing and reporting.

Will duplicating a listing copy its reviews?

No. Customer reviews remain attached to the original product only. Duplicated listings start fresh without any review history.

Can I permanently delete a listing?

Permanent deletion may only be available under certain conditions. We recommend archiving instead, as it preserves your data and sales history while removing the product from customer view.

What happens to archived products in reports?

Archived products still appear in your sales and performance reports, ensuring you maintain accurate historical records for your business.

Can I unarchive a product at any time?

Yes, you can unarchive and republish any product whenever you choose. This flexibility is particularly useful for seasonal items or rotating stock.
